8 - 14 SEPTEMBER 2025
The Cayman Islands Afro Dance Conference returns for its second edition, “Interrupted Lines: Exploring the Origins and Future of Our Cultural Heritage,” a pivotal gathering dedicated to examining the rich, multifaceted history of Caymanian and Afro-Caribbean dance and music. From the heartbeat of the drum to the fluid movements of traditional dance, our cultural heritage is both a mirror of the past and a roadmap to the future. This conference seeks to honour, interrogate, and celebrate the cultural practices that have shaped our identities, while also acknowledging the interruptions—both historical andcontemporary—that have influenced their evolution.
